Great museum, well laid out, interesting and entry is free or by donation.
The Novium is getting into its stride, having replaced the old District museum. Focusing on the city's Roman heritage (the building is partly on the site of the city's Roman baths). Don't miss the other galleries, particularly the top floor with a good view over to the cathedral with its separate bell tower. There is a small seating area with teas and coffees from a vending machine. Recommended.
Much better than i was expecting. Learnt a good deal from a 30min visit. Was free entry.
Just awaiting for my bike to be serviced, so i decided to pop into this surprisingly interesting little museum. The staff were polite and friendly and for someone who doesn't know much about Chichester history. There were an abundance of facts. Ideal for little kids aswell with all the exhibits, including the Lego exhibit on the top floor. Overall, a enjoyable visit to the Novium.
Wonderful. The 'spotlighted' picture is of the Roman Bath House around which the museum was built. Full of terrific exhibits and very family friendly. Great staff. Free, donations welcomed. Easy access.
