The best Vet for all animals, especially for Shar PEI

Terrible service. Not compassionate or sensitive to their clients (in this case me). I had arranged to have my dog put down yesterday at 3pm. I was waiting in my back garden with my dog in her bed for the arranged time, mentally preparing myself for what needed to be done. At 3:05pm I receive a call from the receptionist saying that the vet is running 30 mins late. Quite upsetting as it is a tough decision to make and being delayed dragged out this stressful time for longer than I would've liked. It then started thundering and raining so I had to move the old hound inside. Luckily by the time the vet had arrived it had abated. When the vet arrived he asked me if we could put my dog on a table for the putting down process, to which I said no as I would prefer to have it done in her bed. (I thought the whole idea of having it done at home was to make it nicer for the dog and the humans? He made me feel awkward and anxious by his demeanour and manner. He is not a sensitive person to others feelings. When he eventually agreed to put her down in her bed he failed to explain what needed to be done, He missed the vein on numerous occasions, didn't apologise once and even said 'oh, that blew' (meaning he injected the anaesthetic not into a vein but under the skin). There was blood over her bed where he kept trying to find a vein. It was very upsetting.Once my dog had passed on the vet asked me if I had a sheet I could wrap her in. I had to get one of my bed sheets to wrap her up in. The vet then said we should both carry her to his car. I declined this and carried her myself and laid her to rest on a towel in the boot of his BMW.If I am paying for a service, I expect them to be punctual, professional and prepared. This vet was neither of these. He was late, extremely unprofessional and uncaring and I cannot believe that when you have arranged for the vet to take the body away that they do not come prepared with something to take it away in.Shocking serviceI would highly recommend you use a different vet. This review is written because I believe RW Kynoch is not fit to be a vet from my experience of him yesterday.AVOID AVOID AVOID

My 17 MTH dog , was not well on holiday, as she had a grass seed trapped into the eye, in great discomfort. The staff were extremely welcoming, from the start to finish. And very supportive, Bertha a lot better.

We took our little yorkie Billy to this veterinary practice as a new client after reading excellent reviews online , I must say we weren't disappointed , the receptionist/ nursing assistants are very polite a pleasant and the veterinary surgeon Mr Keynoch, who examined Billy diagnosed his injury to his rear leg , and needed an operation to correct his torn ligaments, he fully explained the procedure he would have to undertake to repair this injury . Billy was booked in for his operation a day later , the operation was successful, and we collected Billy later on in the day fully bandaged up and looking sorry for himself after the anaesthetic, we took him back for his dressings to be changed , and now he is progressing very well , all thanks to Mr Keynoch and his female nursing assistants , they all did a marvellous job very professional, many thanks to them , I would highly recommend this veterinary practise ,

You pay for what you get and without doubt do get the best.
