A really excellent restaurant, atmosphere feels almost like eating in a very comfortable house, everything is calm and understated, actually just like dining in one of the big manor house hotel/restaurants that you find in the Sussex and Hampshire countryside, just much smaller. The food is absolutely super, not too 'posh' or gastro, but very well presented and some interesting and delicious combinations of ingredients. I think this restaurant takes themselves seriously and they aren't a bit pretentious, if you want your food served on a bit of old roofing tile or a piece of driftwood then go somewhere else, if you desire excellent food served on proper plates with good cutlery then make a reservation. As for the service, it was calm and discreet, just perfect. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious food and very friendly waitresses. The main area has a lovely fireplace and the music was beautiful. Would definitely recommend. Just a little tip they are closed on a Sunday and a Monday.
Wonderful place. I genuinely had no idea it was there but my wife found out about it and went there for our anniversary. Food was amazing, as was the relaxed atmosphere. For me, the best part of the experience were the two waiting staff. They couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Will definitely be back, time and time again.
