We drove to Chichester from Brighton, after calling to check availability for cream tea and open times, and being told there was no need to book our cream tea just walk in any time up till 6( as it says on our voucher). On arrival we were told they couldnt do the cream teas but we didn't understand why and then were abandoned so she could go find a manager. The manager explained they ran out of cream teas and offered maybe sone tea scones and cake instead, but having a voucher for full cream tea, we didn't feel this fair, and explained we had called and were told no need to book. She said this is true, but they don't book on saturdays due to business anyway, and they have had so many vouchers they ran out of packs. We asked what they could do instead and she gave us complimentary tea and scones(one each).

Fantastic food suppliers for PV. We have always enjoyed ourselves eating the various cakes & drinks /coffees. Hot foods are great too. The staff have always been pleasent & quick to serve. We have enjoyed the 5yrs & hope for more. The building itself is fantastic too.

I booked a festive afternoon tea for a friend who came over this weekend.Such shocking service the afternoon tea came out and we had to wait 30 minutes for the tea and coffee to come out which made the sandwiches dry! While waiting for it to come out and chasing it up with the waitress I watched table after table of customers leave after cold food was served and wrong orders sent out.The afternoon tea food was served before any hot drinks to anyone.I spoke to the manager whose answer was im only the manager for the day and said she would speak to the person who done the rotas and walked off before i had finished talking to her.No apology and no offer of refund.I will definately not be returning here as it was the worst afternoon tea ive had.

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Afternoon tea delicious, highly recommended.

We had read some less than positive reviews but decided to make our own minds up anyway. We found with our two friends that it was a very attractive premises, the staff were very pleasant and efficient, the meal was served up promptly and further tea was brought on request at no extra cost. The selection offered was fresh and plentiful and we had a great time. To sum up from 4 experienced afternoon tea goers one of the best we have had well done!
